Arrival to Bocas del Toro

Bocas del Toro’s international airport, Bocas del Toro Isla Colon International Airport (BOC) has service to and from Panama City and Tamarindo in Costa Rica. Services are run by Panama Air and Nature Air. The airport is only 1.5 kilometers (0.9 miles) from the city center of Bocas del Toro.
By Bus and Boat
A bus leaves Panama City's international bus station, Albrook, every night at 08:00 pm to Almirante. The ticket will cost around US$23.00 and the journey takes roughly nine hours.
Once you arrive in Almirante you will have to take a water taxi to Bocas del Toro, there are two main water taxi companies: Bocas Marine Tours and Taxi 25. The journey takes about 30 minutes and costs around US$4.00 per person.

By Car and Ferry
Drive from Panama City, David or your preferred location in Central America to Almirante. In Almirante take the ferry to Bocas. The ferry takes around two hours and there is limited space for cars. The ferry leaves from Tuesday to Sunday at 8:00 am; it is recommended you arrive at 6:00 am if you are planning on boarding with your car.

By Foot
Bocas del Toro is a small town and very easy to explore by foot. Our Spanish language school in Bocas del Toro sits behind the main street and is in walking distance to restaurants, bars, shops and cafés.
By Taxi
A taxi can be taken almost everywhere in Bocas del Toro for around US$0.60. Taxis drive around the streets and are very easy to come across.
By Bicycle
Rent a bike for around US$10.00 a day. This is the perfect way to get from our school to surrounding beaches. After a Spanish course in Bocas del Toro, jump on a bike to get around town quickly and easily and enjoy a great work out!
