Arrival to the Amazon Jungle

Students attending Spanish courses in the Amazon must fly into Quito. Flying to Quito, Ecuador is convenient with flights into Aeropuerto Internacional Mariscal Sucre (UIO) from many international departure cities such as Amsterdam, Atlanta, Houston, Madrid, Miami, New York, Buenos Aires, Bonaire, Caracas, Bogotá, Lima, Medellín, Cali, Panama City, Punta Cana, Santiago de Chile, and San José.
By Bus
When you travel from Quito to the Yarina Eco Lodge, you will take the bus to Puerto Francisco de Orellana (Coca). The bus travels a 9-hour trip during the night and you will be accompanied by an instructor from the school.
If you are not interested in the provided bus trip, you are welcome to by an airline ticket individually. Tickets are approximately US$175.00 and a copy of your passport is required to proceed the purchase of your flight.

From Puerto de Orellana (Coca) you will be taken to the eco lodge by motorized canoe.

By Bus
From Quito you will travel to the Shuar community by taking a bus to Puyo and then on to the Shuar Community. Teachers will accompany you during travel.
